[edit] Early Life
Jack Kimbrough Reid was born in Austin, Texas on June 21, 1982.
[edit] Early Recordings
Jack made his first recordings as a resident of College Park (a massive apartment complex on Riverside Drive in Austin, Texas). These early recordings are exceedingly rare, the best known of which, a juvenile ode to cannibus ("Weed Rap (Load it Up)"), was pressed into five or six copies at most. The early recordings are characterized by poor sound quality, due to inexperience and a lack of proper equipment.
[edit] The Process
In the Summer of 2004, Jack Reid released his first full-length album, "The Process." This ten song album chronicles the path of a relationship, from infatuation, to love, break-up, anger, and acceptance. "The Process" shows a vast improvement over the early recordings in terms of sound quality. However, Jack publicly acknowledged that "The Process" suffers from undeveloped songwriting and an excess of "naked emotion."
In November of 2006, Exemplary Records [1] posted "The Process" on its website for free download [2].
[edit] Subsequent Career
After receiving a B.A. in Philosophy at the University of Texas in December of 2003, Jack applied to and was accepted at St. Mary's University School of Law. Since moving to San Antonio to attend St. Mary's, Jack has recorded what he believes is his finest music to date. Tracks such as "Daniella," "Fire Dream," and "Ex-Loser in Love," have received some limited popular acclaim. These songs can be heard at Jack Reid's MySpace page.[3]
