Jacó is a coastal town in Costa Rica's Puntarenas province, located on the Pacific Ocean. The town is known as a surfers' haven due to consistently high surf and proximity to other popular surfing beaches, including Playa Hermosa and Playa Herradura[citation needed].

Located approximately 3 hours from San José, Jacó is a popular among Ticos and foreign tourists alike due to its consistent surf.[citation needed]
