The Jacksons: An American Dream

[edit] Fair use for image

I (--FuriousFreddy) believe use of this image falls under fair use because:

  • It is a historically significant image of a dramatic depiction of a major American musical group, derived from a low-resolution screenshot from a television broadcast
  • The image is of significantly lower resolution so as not to allow any high-quality copies, half the resolution of a standard television broadcast
  • The photo is used for informational purposes only
  • the photo is important to the article because it illustrates a dramatic adaptation of the events described in the article, and also illustrates an award-winning miniseries based upon the lives of the subects of the article. --FuriousFreddy 07:40, 21 August 2005 (UTC)
