Jabbar is a fictional character, a Teshkeel Comics superhero who is a member of the superhero team, The 99.

[[Image: ]] Nawaf Al-Bilali was an average Saudi Arabian teenager with an average life. One day, tragedy struck. Nawaf stepped on a landmine. The explosion shattered a hidden gem, embedding shards of the stone in his skin. Nawaf was miraculously unharmed, but the slivers lodged in his body triggered a startling transformation.

The teenager was transformed into a mountainous giant weighing almost 200 kilograms. But his growth didn’t stop there! Nawaf grew bigger until he was a threat to himself and everyone around him. His slightest touch could shatter a brick wall. The Saudi army attempted to contain him, but no one could stop the teen powerhouse. Desperate for help, they turned to the one man that might be able to explain Nawaf’s metamorphosis and possibly control the giant. An expert on the strange stones named Ramzi Razem.

Dr. Ramzi takes custody of Nawaf and teaches him that he need only add self-control and compassion to his strength, to be a formidable force for good. Nawaf —otherwise known as Jabbar—is the first of The 99.
