J Rock

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

J Rock™ is a non competitive event started up as a Rock Eisteddfod Challenge for Primary Schools, by the same non profit organization in 2004.

J Rock provides the opportunity for primary school students to tell a story of their choice, on stage with costumes and music in front of a live audience, utilising the same prestigious venues and “A” class production equipment provided for the high school event.

In its second year, 2005; the event was firmly cemented into the Global Rock Challenge family with nearly 11,000 students from schools around Australia performing in the non competitive event.

The aim and focus of J Rock events is to teach students to have fun and learn the benefits of eating healthy food and being active.
