Jack of All Trades, or J.O.A.T. as it's more commonly known, is one of the first bootleg albums to appear containing Jack Johnson songs. J.O.A.T was put together by Jason Kustes (known on the internet and in music trading circles as "beatnikdaddio") and was released on May 18, 2001 as part of a trading tree. The J.O.A.T compilation is an essential sampler of outtakes, demos and live performances. Drawn from many disparate sources, this collection gives a great overview of early Jack Johnson material from the period around the release of Brushfire Fairytales album and the first tour opening for Ben Harper and The Innocent Criminals in early 2001. There are multiple versions of J.O.A.T. in the CD/lossless music trading scene, and their tracklistings may differ slightly from the one listed below. The original version featured two Ben Harper tracks as filler at the end of Disc 2, instead of the Jack live material, as little had been recorded when the compilation was released.
