J. Michael Davis

J. Michael Davis, EVP, CTO, and CGO (Chief Game Officer), co-founder of Versaly Entertainment, was the VP of R&D and Editing at Wizards of the Coast, joined Wizards in 1995 and grew his department from 5 to 15 designers. Following Wizards acquisition of TSR (the makers of Dungeons & Dragons) his department grew to over 60 game designers. Mr. Davis was responsible for creating the design teams that produced Wizards' hit products "Magic: The Gathering" and "Pokémon". Mr. Davis' department oversaw Wizards external game submissions and was at the leading edge of many of Wizards' new games as well as their early ventures into electronic media. Prior to Wizards, Mr. Davis was a software engineer at Bell Labs (now Lucent) and Bell South.

Mr. Davis holds a MS in Mathematics from North Carolina State University, an MBA from the University of Washington, and is co-inventor on an advanced telecommunications patent (#5533107).
