J. J. Connington (pseudonym of Alfred Walter Stewart) was a British detective novelist who wrote over twenty books between 1926 and 1947. He created several detectives, including Superintendent Ross and Chief Constable Sir Clinton Driffield. He was a professor of chemistry at Queen's University, Belfast.
