J. Ernest Mangnall

Ernest Magnall (born in Bolton, Lancashire) was an English football manager.

He started his managerial career with Burnley before joining Manchester United. He would become the first successful manager at United. He started managing United in 1903 and would last until 1912. He won two league titles in 1908 and 1911 and won one FA Cup with the club in 1909. He is also credited for being the first and only personm to manage both manchester teams. In 1912 he moved to city. Although he was still united manager at the time Mangall celebrated with the city team after they won the local derby. He already knew by this time he was to be city manager
