Jürgen Sparwasser (born June 4, 1948 in Halberstadt, Saxony-Anhalt) is a retired German football player and later briefly a football manager.

He played for East Germany, for which he played 53 matches and scored 15 goals. A member of the Olympic team in 1972, he won the bronze medal for his native country.

He was a participant in the 1974 FIFA World Cup, where he gained fame for scoring the winning goal in politically prestigious match with West Germany. In his country he played for 1. FC Magdeburg.
