Jörg Sievers

Jörg Sievers (born September 22, 1965 in Romstedt, Germany) is a former goalkeeper of the German football (soccer) club Hannover 96.

Sievers played for the club for more than 10 years, primarily playing in the German 2nd division (2. Bundesliga). Sievers stayed with the club through a relegation to 3rd division. The highlights of his career with the club was winning the DFB-Pokal in 1992 against Borussia Mönchengladbach, and the promotion to the Bundesliga in 2002.

Also famous from the song "Jörg Sievers Blues" by the German band Fury in the Slaughterhouse.
