Jäniksen vuosi

Jäniksen vuosi (The Year of the Hare) refers to a Finnish book and film made in the mid-1970s. The book was written in 1975 by Arto Paasilinna. In 1977 Risto Jarva co-wrote (with Paasilinna and Kullervo Kukkasjärvi) and directed a Finnish film drama based on the book.

Young advertising executive Vatanen suddenly quits his job and city life in Helsinki, and decides to spend a while in the Finnish wilderness where he becomes acquainted with nature.
