Izu, Shizuoka

Izu (伊豆市; -shi) is a city located in Shizuoka, Japan.
As of 2004, the city has an estimated population of 37,869 and the density of 104 persons per km². The total area is 363.97 km².
The city was founded on April 1, 2004 from the merger of the towns of Amagiyugashima, Toi, Nakaizu, and Shuzenji.
