The coat of arms of the Isle of Wight County Council, granted 17th October 1938 by the College of Arms.

The castle in the centre of the shield represents Carisbrooke Castle. The blue colour of the shield and the anchors suggest that the county is an island. The supporters are a horse and a seahorse for the agricultural and maritime interests of the Isle respectively.

The arms were transferred by Order in Council to the non-metropolitan county council created in 1974. When the county council became a unitary authority in 1995 the arms continued in use.
