Gone? Not that I'm not glad, but what about your old opinions? --PaxEquilibrium 22:46, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Stop changing my comment

Yes I did change your userpage, but that was ONE time and I havent done anything to you since then so please stop editing my message to you. Paulcicero 14:01, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Alkalada

I have banned him again for one month. He is not indefinitely banned. Please be courteous. Fred Bauder 16:32, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Tito

In reference to people in Yugoslavia, you wrote "a whole lot of people who weren't really fond of each other". I'm curious as to why you would think that the people in SFRY during Tito didn't like each other? In fact, I don't remember any nationalist comments before 1987. in SFRY, and that was long after Tito had died. --GOD OF JUSTICE 23:24, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Reply

That means "Go to Messenger".

I'd dare not involve, as it already seems pretty much heated. I advise you to bring it over at WP:ANI. Cheers, --PaxEquilibrium 11:02, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] My justification

I think it's pretty obvious, actually. The IPs edits clearly show that they were not made by a new user, and since another user already suspected them to be you, I went ahead and tagged the pages. If you do a WHOIS, you'll see where they're located too. Khoikhoi 03:51, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

It's not just speculation, there is behavioral evidence as well. I don't think Emir's block log is really relevant here. If you want, you can do something similar to what was done at Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/Case/Yanksox if you wish to get this resolved once and for all. Khoikhoi 04:01, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

I'm not entirely sure, but it's worth a shot. As for Emir, please give me specific diffs showing these personal attacks. If I warn him not giving any examples of incivility, it will most likely not fly. Khoikhoi 04:43, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

Alright, I've asked two other users to verify the translation. The other diffs you gave don't seem to be direct personal attacks against you (the one towards the Indian admins he was already blocked for). Also, I highly suggest that you refrain from making comments like this:

Emir, grow up. Please learn how to speak English properly or restrict your activities to the Bosnian Wikipedia. Your childish games, personal attacks, rampant incivility, and blatant lies have no place on the English Wikipedia. We both know that you falsely accused me just for the sake of harassing me. Your edits and your mannerisms show that you are a bigot, and even though you have been blocked seven times for your disruptive behaviour, you still don't understand that what you are doing is wrong. The best thing for you all of us is for you to just leave the English Wikipedia. 00:21, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

I get frustrated too, but name-calling is not the solution. Now I feel like I have to scold both of you. Khoikhoi 21:18, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Sockpuppet category

Denied your speedy: Speedy deletion applies to only certain select circumstances. If you feel you are being harassed, it's probably best to put up an entry on WP:ANI, and mention the category. Alternately, you could try Categories for deletion. Mangojuicetalk 14:49, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Emir Arven

The case at Wikipedia:Community noticeboard was closed. It recommends you to go to Wikipedia:Request for comment before suggesting a ban (and so do I; I do not recommend ban). I have given my word regarding Emir Arven's far too long abusive edit history.

You should start WP:RFC as soon as you can. --PaxEquilibrium 23:31, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

Sure you may. --PaxEquilibrium 12:45, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit]  ?

Nashkent adopted my proposal for a solution of Emir Arven's case.

You do not like it? --PaxEquilibrium 21:54, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Request for Advocacy

In case you didn't see this before, I have posted this in the discussion section of your case:

I am new to AMA, but in general I think there is some reluctance to take on this by members of AMA, the admins and the community because there seems to be a lot of mutual mean-spirited talk and activity going back and forth between the parties. Now, while one block log is certainly more impressive (not in a good sense), that doesn't mean that the other party is guilt-free. From the section on Dispute Resolution, I am assuming that you haven't gone through all the steps in the process. I understand that you are probably very frustrated with this and that frustration is prompting jumping to more drastic measures (requesting permanent bans, etc...), but there are some other things that you could probably try first.
  • First of all, being insulted or attacked does not mean that you should return the favor. Trying to be subtle about it doesn't really help either. Mean-spirited is mean-spirited. You may consider just taking a step back since this has been going on for a long time.
  • It may be adviseable for you to let others address the edits by Emir for a while. If what you are asserting is the case, then allowing the community to step in and help address it is a good step toward resolution. Otherwise, it looks like just a personal war between the two of you and not many people want to step into the middle of an already ongoing war.
  • Remember, in general you should be addressing content, not the contributor. I understand that it's hard given the case, but you should do your best to not stoop down to verbal brawling.
  • If sources are disputed, try other sources if you can. You could even just take a chance and present sources that conform to whatever requirements the other side has defined (eg. international observational sources not directly involved I believe was one such).
  • Try an olive branch. Just a thought, but you never know.

Keep this updated as things progress. Good luck and stay on track. If you want to discuss this me further, leave a message on my talk page. -Cquan 23:54, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
