Polish-Muscovite War (1605-1618) mentions a battle in which 'Ivan Khovansky' took part. As the battle was around 1609 and Ivan was a commander, it is rather unlikely this Ivan, born around 1600, whas *the* Ivan Khovansky of that battle. My guess is it might have been his father - can anybody verify this? A simple name of his father may be enough.
