I have a source to work from called Fifty Years on Theatre Row, an autobiographical book written by Ivan Ackery, so I'll be working on expanding the article. Starbuck-2 05:17, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

It's important to get some mention of notability in an article, especially when first created. Even if style/grammar/format is poor, anything to assert notability so that other editors can have some judgment of whether the subject merits an article is important. I have spent a little time looking up the book (and any other info I could find). There is mention of Ackery winning two "Quigley Awards" for theater promotion, something that makes him more notable than being a Vancouver theater manager (even a friendly, likeable one with a small autobiography). The difficulty I am having is finding any information that defines the Quigley Award. Being an award winner may be enough to satisfy WP:BIO (and including this info in the article should be enough to prevent a speedy deletion), but if the award is not really notable itself, then the article might not survive a future AfD discussion on notability. Hope that helps. ju66l3r 05:30, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
