Ivan Venning is an Australian politician who has been the sitting Liberal member for the electoral district of Schubert since 1990.

Prior to his election in to politics, Venning was a farmer. He has 10 years Local Government under his belt, he is also a Justice of the Peace, as well as being a member of many agricultural, sporting and community groups.

The 2006 election saw Venning decrease his margin to 6.4%.
