Ivan Fisher

Ivan Fisher (b. 1943) is a prominent New York criminal defense attorney whose office is located in a townhouse on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. He represents white-collar clients as well as others targeted or charged in complex federal matters.
Fisher attended the Horace Mann School, Syracuse University and Boston University School of Law. Early in his career he formed a partnership with legendary attorney Albert Kreiger, and then formed his own practice in 1974.
As a young lawyer, Fisher represented the notorious celebrity writer Jack Abbott in a sensational murder trial. [1] Another client was Marie Luisi, a Senior Vice President at J.Walter Thompson Co, amid allegations relating to the alleged theft of $30 million. [[2]] Fisher also represented Italian financier Michele Sindona, and served as lead counsel in the Pizza Connection case.
More recently, Fisher secured the dismissal of all corruption charges against Dr. Roy L. Schneider, the former governor of the U.S. Virgin Islands. He also won an acquittal at the trial of Demetrios Demetrios, alleged to have traded illegally with "black nations." [[3]][[4]] Another of Fisher's clients is Pashtun tribal chieftan Haji Ayub Afridi who has endured a long and complicated relationship with the United States. [[5]] Currently, he is representing Haji Bashar Noorzai [6], whose prosecution by the U.S. government has raised significant issues involving U.S. foreign policy abroad. [7]
