Frontispiece and title page for "Iu-Kiao-Li: Les Deux Cousines", said to be the first Chinese novel translated into a Western language. Translated by noted scholar Jean-Pierre-Abel Rémusat in 1826. This image is now in the public domain, as everyone involved died more than 100 years ago.
