Talk:ITU G.992.2

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Australian ADSL is G.DMT, not G.lite.

G.Lite is ADSL which has a max of 1.5mbits downstream but does not require a line filter on analog devices.

The limit of 1.5mbits downstream on most Telstra-provided ADSL ports in Australia is a commercial decision by Telstra and has nothing to do with any ADSL standards apart from problems with guaranteeing a user will be able to get a particular speed regardless of line length --Mcbridematt 01:53, 8 January 2006 (UTC)

Removed the still inaccurate babble about G.Lite coming in 256/64, 512/128 etc. The reason I put the dispute notice on the article was in the hope that someone more informed would completely rewrite the article... --Mcbridematt 11:59, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
