The Italdesign Scighera or Alfa Romeo Scighera (pronounced Shigeera) was a fully working futuristically-styled concept car designed and constructed by Italdesign of Turin, Italy in 1997. The Scighera has all aluminium body and frame structure is made of aluminium-carbon fibre composite.[2] and powered by an Alfa Romeo TwinTurbo 3-liter V6 engine, and could accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds. Horsepower was rated at 400 at 7,500 rpm[3], the Scighera had a top speed of 186mph and its four-wheel drive gave it crisp handling. 4WD system was derived from Alfa Romeo 155.[4] Italdesign was considering even a small scale production but that never happened.[1]
