It Feels Like Magic (Original English version: An Unexpected Event) is the premier episode of the 4kids dub of the first season Winx Club animated series.

It Feels Like Magic originally aired on June 19, 2004 on the Foxbox Saturday morning cartoon block.

The episode starts with Bloom riding on her bike through Gardenia's park, with Kiko in the basket. She stops in the midst of some trees and Kiko goes exploring in the underbrush. Soon the little rabbit comes running back, clearly alarmed about something. Bloom goes to look and sees a fairy fighting against an ogre and a group of ghouls, and having a difficult time defending herself. When the ogre and ghouls eventually overpower the fairy, Bloom stands up to defend her without really knowing what she's doing. The ogre picks her up by her wrists and she suddenly releases a flash of power. She does the same sort of thing not too long after, shielding herself from some of the ghouls. Startled by Bloom's display, the ghouls and ogre retreat but not before one ghoul knocks her down and tears a shred of fabric from the cuff of her pants. Shortly after ogre and ghouls disappear, the fairy congratulates Bloom, and then passes out. Bloom carries her back home and to rest and recover.

The ogre reappears in a dark, shadowy place with three pairs of glowing eyes looking down at him. He is trying to explain how he was unable to capture Stella. He explains how he was taken by surprise by an Earth-girl with magical powers, and how he plans to use the scrap from her clothing to find her and Stella later, with a hunter troll.

One day after the fight, Bloom wakes up again to her mother asking who the girl is in their guest room, and Bloom realizes that what had happened was real. She runs down the stairs to see her and right about there the fairy - now looking more like an ordinary teenage girl - wakes up. The fairy introduces herself as Stella and Bloom's father decides to call Stella's parents. Stella comments that is it would not possible because of her supernatural origins. After a display of telekinesis, finally gets across to Bloom's parents that she is a real fairy. Stella also suggests that Bloom come to her school with her. Bloom takes Stella up to her room and tells her that she might not be able to go. Stella provides a simple test to see what Bloom could do, and Bloom couldn't do a thing. After reassuring her that nothing was wrong, she suggested that they see the Realm of Magix, and creates a portal.

While both girls explore the Realm of Magix, the ogre (now referred to as Knut) and trolls arrive in Gardenia and being their search for Bloom. In Magix, Stella explains to Bloom about Alfea, Red Fountain, and Cloud Tower. Bloom thinks it is all very interesting, and Stella tells her about how she had invited a few friends from Red Fountain to come over to Gardenia. Bloom gets very excited and they return to her room.

As Bloom and Stella discuss how to convince Bloom's parents into allowing to attend Alfea, Kiko notices something outside the kitchen door and becomes very alarmed. Kiko manages to move all sorts of things over in front of the door as a barricade in order to keep whatever it is outside but he combined strength of destroy the barrier and proceed to ransack the home determined to capture both Stella and Bloom invaders. Responding to the commotion downstairs, Stella transforms into a fairy, and tells Bloom to take on the ogre. Bloom is hesitant citing her lack of awareness in her magical ability; instead, she dodges and runs out the place where the kitchen door was supposed to be. During the fight between the Stella and the ogre, Stella manages to throw Knut outside (and into the bath of Bloom) but is then hurled out the door by the troll. The troll exits the house about the both girls when a glowing purple whip caught its neck and held it back. Four teenage boys were behind the troll, all dressed about the same, and they started fighting the troll after it pulled loose from the whip. The boys caught the troll, while Stella and Bloom succeeded in again making Knut retreat. In the calm after the fight, Stella introduces the boys as Brandon, Timmy, Riven and Prince Skye; specialists and "heroes in training". They bind the troll and go through a portal back to their school.

Later, Stella offers to help fix the house with some magic and Bloom's dad politely declines. Bloom is already packed to go to Alfea but her unsure about sending their daughter to a boarding school and demand to come along so they may gather more information about Alfea. Stella creates the portal but this time explains to Bloom’s parents that only those with winx may pass through the barrier separating earth from Magix. Stopped by barrier and watching their daughter pass through, her parents yield to her growing maturity. The episode ends with Bloom's dad saying, "Wow!"
