[edit] Plot Outline

The girls try to save a 200 year old oak tree. The tree is located on the property of Freida Claxton, the meanest woman in the neighborhood. However, in court, Rose tells Ms. Claxton to shut up or drop dead, and coincidentally, she drops dead. After nobody steps in to arrange a funeral for Mrs. Claxton, Rose decides to do it herself.

  • (Mr. Pfeiffer is trying to set a date for Ms. Claxton's funeral service)
Mr. Pfeiffer: How about Thursday night?
    Dorothy, Blanche, and Rose: Thursday!!
    Sophia: Not Thursday, hell no!
Mr. Pfeiffer: Oh, I forgot. The Cosby Show.
  • Dorothy: We're here to pay for a funeral.
Mr. Pfeiffer: Oh, the three of you planning ahead for mother?
Sophia: Hey Puh-feiffer, how would you like a punch in your puh-face?
  • Dorothy: Last Halloween half the kids in the neighborhood wore Freida Claxton costumes.
  • Freida Claxton: (to Blanche) Oh, yes, the slut. I've seen in your bedroom with my binoculars. I think some of the stuff you do is illegal. I'm looking into it.
Blanche: Why you... (Dorothy grabs Blanche as she lunges for Ms. Claxton)
Dorothy: Now Blanche. Mrs. Claxton I'm Dorothy Zbornak.
Freida Claxton: Oh yeah. You're the one with nothing going on in your bedroom.
    Dorothy: Why you...
(Blanche and Rose grab her as she lunges at Ms. Claxton)
  • Rose: (on the funeral expenses) Oh so we'll divide it up equally?
Sophia: Well I figure yours should be about half. After all, you're the one that killed her.
