"It's My Party and I'll Lie If I Want To" is an episode of Hannah Montana.

Lilly is just beginning to adjust to celebrity life, and is doing incredibly embarrassing things to Miley, such as asking Gwen Stefani to sign her toilet seat cover . When Miley receives a phone call inviting her to Kelly Clarkson's party, Lilly gets excited. This leads Miley to lie to Lilly and tell her "The party's been canceled." Miley does not have much fun without Lily. When Lily calls her, Miley (as Hannah) lies again saying her dad is ordering pizza when a photographer tells Hannah Montana to "say cheese". She decides to leave, when the photographer tries to take her photo. She asks him politely not to and he refuses so she jumps on his back, and she tries to stop him from taking the photo. But the next day she sees the picture of her on the photographers back on the front page. She spends all day trying to make sure Lilly dosn't find out by hiding the magazines and newspapers under her sofa. Lilly then finds out and Miley confesses everything. Lilly then forgives her. When she comes to another party, Stacey sees Lola and does not accept her, but Hannah tells her if she doesn't accept her, she will tell that Stacey sneezed and her "snot rocket" hit both the Olsen twins. After Lilly tries to act cool when seeing Orlando Bloom (offscreen), Hannah lets her scream. A guard says "She really is a dork," to which Hannah replies, "Yup, but she's my dork," and then runs off after her screaming, "ORLANDO!!!"

  • The episode title refers to Lesley Gore's song It's My Party, which includes the lyrics "It's my party and I'll cry if I want to."
  • The Olsen Twins are mentioned in this episode and in New Kid in School.
  • Won the "Brother Like No Other" category in the 2006 Disney Channel New Year Sing-Along Bowl-athon.
  • In the part about the newspaper Hannah states "the pumpkin headed kid always trying to kick that football", a reference to Charlie Brown.
  • Also in the part about the newspaper, Hannah refers to Garfield.
