ISTEP

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

ISTEP+ (often referred to simply as ISTEP) stands for "Indiana Statewide Testing for Educational Progress-Plus" and is an annual testing regimen designed by the Indiana Department of Education to encourage students to master basic language and science skills, particularly reading, writing and mathematics. All students in grades 3 through 10 take the ISTEP+ each fall, with language and math covered in each test and science covered in grades 5 and 7. Successfully completing the final (grade 10) ISTEP+ Graduation Qualifying Exam is necessary to graduate from high school.
