Many Israeli's feel that Ariel Sharon has lost the plot and attempted to destroy Yasser Arafat. Others, however, decide that his Gaza withdrawal plan is trying to help the peace (though cynics feel that he is exchanging the Gaza Strip for large chunks of the West Bank).
