Island Pacific Academy

Island Pacific Academy is a college preparatory school operating in Kapolei, Hawaii. The school was founded in 2003 and enrolled its first students in the 2004-2005 school year. The combined enrollment for the 2006-2007 school year is 532 in grades Pre-Kindergarten through ninth grade. The school plans to add one grade every year, graduating its first class of seniors in 2010. World renowned Glenn Medeiros teaches the fifth graders at Island Pacific Academy. There are over 80 Faculty and staff workers at Island Pacific Academy. IPA is also part of Interscholastic League of Honolulu sports on Oahu Hawaii

The school has two buildings: a lower school building (grades Pre-K to 5th), and an upper school building (grades 6-9).

[edit] Lower School Building

The lower school building has two floors, with the lower grades at the bottom, and the upper grades at the top. It has the first of the three science labs that are in use now, a music class, and many classrooms.

The upper school building has three floors. The first floor contains two art studios, one recording studio, one music class, a multi-purpose cafeteria, and a school office. The second floor has the middle school classrooms (6th-8th grades). It has the second of three science laboratories that are in use. The third floor has the ninth grade classrooms. It has a library, the offices of the deans, and the third of the three science labs that are in use, the last science lab will be in use in the 2007-2008 school year for grades 9-10.
