Ishvara Krishna
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ishvara Krishna or Īshvarakrishna (c. 350-c. 425) was the author of the Sankhya Karika, the earliest complete text of the Samkhya school of Indian thought, though the Samkhya school had been in existence for at least a millennium.
Almost nothing is known of Ishvara Krishna's life. His work generated important commentaries by Gaudapada and Vacaspati Mishra, and was translated into Chinese around the 6th century.
