Ishaq Khan Khakwani is the Pakistani federal minister for railways. Mr. Khakwani belongs to a political family from southern Punjab. Mr. Khakwani joined politics with the PPP-SB (Pakistan Peoples Party Shaheed Bhutto group) but after the death of the party leader Mir Murtaza Bhutto he joined the PML-Q (Pakistan Muslim League Q), It was from this party that he won his National assembly seat against a political stalwart Tehmina Daultana from Vehari.
