Isaiah J. Kacyvenski (born October 3, 1977) is an NFL outside linebacker with the St.Louis Rams.

[edit] Early Childhood

Isaiah Kacyvenski started from humble beginnings. The youngest of five children growing up in upstate Endicott, N.Y., his family lived in a tent for three months when he was a young child. He sometimes had to eat out of trash cans. When he was nine years old, he stated, "Let no one out work you today."

While in high school, he served as captain to the football and wrestling teams. His mother died in a car accident when Kacyvenski was a senior in high school.

For four years, Isaiah Kacyvenski started every game at Harvard University (Crimson). As a freshman, he won the Ivy League Rookie of the Year award, and for three years, won All-Ivy League first team honors. As a senior, he had a school single-season record 135 tackles, and for his college career, finished with a school career-record record 395 tackles, 4.5 sacks, 11 interceptions, and 8 fumble recoveries. He graduated, but was at football camp so his father received the diploma for him. He then was soon drafted by the Seattle Seahawks.

He played 7 years with the Seattle Seahawks recording 267 tackles in 90 games. He was released on September 30, 2006.

Signed a one year deal with the St.Louis Rams on October 3, 2006.
