[edit] Background

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

The daughter of Richard Tyler[1] and Lily Moore, Isabelle is technically not a 4400; she was born after the 4400 were returned, after the first season of the show.

According to Matthew Ross (and seemingly confirmed by the 4400 faction in the future), her mission was to eliminate all of the 4400. She was not treated with the promicin inhibitor as an infant, so her uncontaminated blood was used to heal Shawn Farrell and consequently all 4400s, unbinding their abilities. At the end of the second season she ages considerably and shows up in Shawn's office, naked. This rapid aging also aged her mother.

[edit] Abilities

Isabelle possessed several paranormal abilities before her abilities were removed by an injection sent by the people from the future:

  • Telepathic communication (as an infant with Lily Moore, Richard Tyler, and Jordan Collier; with Lily while in utero)
  • Telepathic suggestion
  • Materialization (getting whatever she wants)
  • Injuring/Self Healing: Injuring Jordan Collier while in utero, rupturing Lily Moore's first daughter's spleen, causing a heart attack in an attacker, regenerating instantly from burns on her hand and significant blunt force trauma (multi-story fall), acceleration of biological growth (the growth of berries in one episode and herself in the season 2 finale), impervious to bullets and explosives
  • Precognition (warned Lily of a bomb before it exploded)
  • Telekinesis (the bending trees in the final scene of Season 1, attack on Matthew Ross, Tom Baldwin, and Diana Skouris in Season 3)
  • Thermokinesis (heating up pool water)
  • Limited shapeshifting (changing her eye color from brown to green)
  • Extremely rapid learning (acquired virtuoso level piano skill in a few hours)
  • The ability to mimic or take control of other 4400's powers (the method she used to kill various Nova Group members and cause Armand to go insane)

She was not affected by Shawn Farrell's ability to drain someone's life-force. Note that many of these powers duplicate those from among the 4400.

She had worked with Haspel Corporation and was the source of the promicin they used in attempts to induce 4400 mutations in people who were never abducted. She left after HaspelCorp's team was destroyed by Boyd Gelder's suicide bomb. Afterwards, she moved to attack the 4400 Center but ended up losing her abilities when her father used his telekinesis to inject her with a serum given to Tom Baldwin by the people from the future. She was shot by Baldwin, but survived, and is currently in a hospital recovering from her wounds.

Spoilers end here.

[edit] Production details

Isabelle Tyler is in second season as a baby, but doesn't join the cast as a regular until season three.
