Isaac Newton Lewis

Isaac Newton Lewis (b. 12 October 1858, New Salem, Pennsylvania- d. 9 November 1931, Hoboken, New Jersey) was an American soldier and inventor.
He created the Lewis Gun, which was used in the First World War and afterwards. Initially the United States military was not interested in his new gun, but after the British and French had bought more than 100,000 for use in the trenches in France they did purchase them.
