[edit] Extracurricular activities
IHS offers a wide variety of extracurricular activities, the most noted activity is the Drama Club. The club is run by Diana Selenow and they typically do two productions a year, one in the late fall and one in late winter. The productions have been directed by Selenow and a senior as an assistant director since 1996. Several productions in the recent years include Damn Yankees, Lucky Stiff, Oklahoma, Working, Anything Goes and Alice in Wonderland. Their next production is The Music Man.
In addition to acting, IHS also offers many sports including football, soccer, track and bowling. IHS is also a strong supporter of the Midnight Run organization and has Midnight Runs several times a school year. IHS also has a dance crew, gay/straight alliance, filmmaking club, audience club and a school band which holds concerts in the winter and spring.
