Irv Eatman is a former American football offensive tackle, who played professional football for 14 seasons, including 11 seasons with the NFL as an offensive tackle.

A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Eatman attended UCLA where he was a two-time Lombardi Award semi-finalist, three-time honorable mention All-America and two-time All-Pac 10 selection. He played on the Bruins Rose Bowl Champion squad as a senior following the '82 season.

Eatman was drafted in the eighth round of the '83 NFL Draft by Kansas City. However, he opted to join the USFL where he was a three-time USFL All-Pro offensive tackle ('83-'85) with the Philadelphia/Baltimore Stars. In '84, Eatman was named USFL Man of the Year and was part of Stars squads which claimed USFL titles in both '84 and '85.

He entered the NFL with a five-year stint in Kansas City ('86-'90) before playing six seasons with the N.Y. Jets ('91-'92), L.A. Rams ('93), Atlanta Falcons ('94) and Houston Oilers ('95-'96).

[edit] Coaching

Irv Eatman joined the Oakland Raiders coaching staff as co-offensive line coach. Eatman previously served as an assistant offensive line coach with the Kansas City Chiefs, Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers.

He is not coaching for the Raiders anymore. He was fired as a coach, but may take a reduced position as a staff member, since he still has a contract.
