Hello man,

I'm the guy who wrote Beck's article in Spanish. I see you didn't want the English version to left behind. Did you see the rest of information I put about his albums? Cheers, Lmb 00:09, 6 Mar 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Arizona State Parks

Arizona State Parks. No problem. Do what you need to with it. I see its about the state agency too. Perhaps it should be two articles, with a separate list. I was just trying to find a common format with List of state parks and the other state park articles. -- Decumanus | Talk

I undid some of the damage, and split the article into two. The agency article is a stub now. That's about all I'm going to do with it, so like I said, whatever you want to do with it is fine by me. Sorry about the whole thing. If I'd read the article's first paragraph closely, it never would have happened. -- Decumanus | Talk 07:53, 22 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Hi Iroll,

I'm writing you this time to check a word I heard on TV. Practically what I need ain’t worth of using here, I just want to improve my informal usage of English. I'd like to know if the word corn pone besides of being a kind of American bread made of corn meal has another meaning. I was watching a movie and a guy named his friend as a corn pone and the Spanish translation was palurdo (a narrow-minded sort of person from the countryside). Could it be?

I wish you could help me, I have a few more informal expressions that I could't find on my dictionary. Cheers, Lmb 23:11, 1 Apr 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Unverified Image

Hello! You uploaded Image:Marcynew.jpg, which has no information on its copyright status. If at all possible, please use one of the Image copyright tags on the image! Thanks, ugen64 01:34, 11 Jan 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Edward Abbey image

Iroll, I see that you have taken this image from this guy's web page. I've just wrote him a letter asking him about its copyright status (but no reply yet). Do you know anything about this image's copyright, or do you know the copyright owner? If you have any information about it, it will probably improve its chances of being able to stay on Wikipedia (it's such a great picture, I hope it does; if you have a document in which the owner states he has released the image into the GFDL, that'd be perfect). Thanks. --Blackcap(talk) 19:15, August 20, 2005 (UTC)

  • It's been deleted. --Blackcap | talk 06:40, 19 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] note

Just in case as an Arizonan you know anything of Spider Ranch, whether it's locally notable or not. Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Spider Ranch. Herostratus 20:07, 24 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Marcynew.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Marcynew.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Image legality questions page. Thank you. CLW 14:09, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image Tagging Image:Koolkeith as blackelvis promo.jpg

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Koolkeith as blackelvis promo.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Image legality questions page. Thank you. CLW 14:15, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Dwight yoakam hollywood star.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Dwight yoakam hollywood star.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Chowbok 03:03, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
