Irmo Middle school is located at 6051 Wescott Road, Irmo, South Carolina. It is part of School District 5 of Lexington and Richland Counties. The school offers seventh and eighth grade, and after completing the eighth grade, students continue to Irmo High School. The principal is Mrs. Marie Waldrop. The school's mascot is a yellow jacket. As of the 2006-2007 school year the school had 1143 students enrolled.
