Okedem - Unfortunately it sounds like you are pushing a point of view.Thousands of Kurds and Tats residents is certainly an important part of a location's history. However, removing references to important historical events goes strongly against Wikipedia policy. See for comparison MORE INFORMATION:[1] part of that refrenced template & [2] & [3] -ZANDWEBT. DON'T REMOVE AGAIN .

Israel is a country built on immigration. You'll find many people who are native French, English, Russian, Hungarian, Ukranian, Italian etc. speakers. If we add all of these templates, the article wouldn't look very good, would it? And to a country like the US - you'd have to add all the templates in Wikipedia, wouldn't you?

Having a small population speaking a certain language doesn't make that country a "x speaking nation".

Don't accuse me of POV, and don't cite WP policy to me. I know it very well, thank you.

ZANDWEB, don't accuse me of vandalism just becuase my edits don't meet your own POV. This time I'm closing my eyes as if nothing has happened. Next time, you'll be reported for a personal attack. This template wont last very long in its current state. Wouldn't it make sense to include states where an Iranian language has offical or at least a de facto status only?--Eupator 17:53, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

I think it would be a better idea to have a templates not accroding to the official language in various countries but languages spoken by nations. That is for example (to chose a less controversial one) instead of the Slavic template being included in articles about Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine and so on, it should be in Poles, Slovaks, Ukrainians. Not only will it help avoid controversies encountered here, but it will also be more relevent.
