Hi, I'm an Iraqi who lived in Baghdad untill 1995. There was another channel on TV. It was called Youth Channel (Qanaat Al-Shabaab). I believe it started broadcasting in 1994. It contained many westren movies with Arabic subtitles and UK TOP50 (or so) songs. These movies where so new, that when they were shown on this channel they would still be running in theaters in the US! Scenes of mature nature were cut off these movies, as to make them more suitable to the culture, community and age ranges of viewers. Thank you
