[edit] Tempest
Hello, I got your message, I am still new to this whole thing. I was wondering before changing any pages, if you thought, that Tempest (comics) page should be changed to Garth-Tempest or something, he was Aqualad and he deserves his own page of Garth/Tempest/Aqualad instead of sharing it with the first Tempest, and let him have his own page or part of the Doom Patrol's page. I just wanted to run things by you first. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Tigerklinge (talk • contribs).
- We've had talk about Tempest before, but I think if you wanted to move it, bring it up on the talk page there first and see what people think. I'm not 100% sure why we kept it as Tempest, but I remember talking about it when Infinite Crisis was going on. -- Ipstenu (talk|contribs) 00:16, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Jorjafox01.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Jorjafox01.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add
{{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Yamla 06:10, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks, I appreciated that you kept your cool and asked for clarification on this issue. These things often aren't as clear as they should be. --Yamla 21:39, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] HSM Trivia
I see what you're trying to do, I see some of them are fancruft from the pop-up edition. But I looked through the article and didn't find a lot of the trivia that is semi-notable, mainly
- "This was the Disney Channel's most successful movie at its time with 7.7 million viewers in its premiere broadcast. The record was beaten by The Cheetah Girls 2 (2006) (TV), which attracted 8.3 million viewers on its premiere night." as that is important to show its popularity,
- "Charles Klapow, one of the choreographers for the movie, was also one of the basketball dancers." as not many people who work behind the scenes often appear in the actual movies,
- "Zac Efron's singing voice was that of composer Drew Seeley, who was also considered for the role. Seeley sang the entirety of "Get'cha Head in the Game" as well as composing it. He also sang the Reprise of "What I've Been Looking For". Efron only truly sings the first four sentences of "Start of Something New", the first sentence of "Breaking Free", and during the scene on the balcony. The reason for this is because Efron's natural voice is too low for that of a tenor and the producers preferred a tenor to match the role." as it reveals that Efron wasn't really singing, and possibly these 2 if they can be worked into it
- " Hannah Montana premiered the same week as HSM. In two promotional commercials Ashley, Vanessa, and Zac appeared on the HM set with Miley Cyrus, Mitchel Musso, Emily Osment, and Jason Earles from HM. There was even a dance-off between the two sets of cast members."
- "The Song "We're All in This Together" was performed (lip-synched) by the entire cast of the 2006 New Year's Eve Sing-a-Long Bowl-a-Thon with Corbin and Ashley leading the way. The other solo parts were taken by Brenda Song and Dylan Sprouse."
Though some of it may need to be reworded to cut out some fancruft, but I think the 5 things show some insight into the movie. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 20:37, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

- OK sorry, I didn't look on Efrons page for the part about his singing. The parts in the production section I dunno how I missed, and the reason I suggested the part about HM and the Bowl-a-thon was because it shows a different perspective (not sure if you're following I think im confusing myself) --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 02:35, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

You made me laugh when I read your input on the Talk:Miley Cyrus page and you were talking about her religious orientation and you called her evasive after what you wrote! Simple yet hilarious! BarnStar Boy 23:53, 14 January 2007 (UTC) |

Yeah man I had the same problem. My page even 10 times vandalized and those edits keep me encouraging to revert vandalism. --♪♫ ĽąĦĩŘǔ ♫♪ Walkie-talkie 17:08, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Bi Wonder Woman
I found a source, the DC Comics website which lists the publication schedule until the end of April. 5 Wonder Woman comics coming out between now and then. So no, it isn't bimonthly *g*. [1] --Stenun 04:35, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] 52, Montoya, & Question
Just a suggestion, but I think the best way to handle it is to handle this is to keep potential "Montoya as Question" stuff on the Montoya article.
I made the same suggestion on the Question talk page almost a week ago.

- Fair point... I caught a half spoiler about Isis (my LCS doesn't get the books til Thursdays) and it looks like a chunk of the characters have a limited shelf life. But to be fair, the "still dead" list is leaning to the characters that first appeared in 52 by 5:3, as side from the cameo villain death-fest at Halloween. — J Greb 02:29, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] The Riches
Hi. I'm sorry about that revert, I had a mental block for a moment there and completely missed the fact that Izzard's character was Wayne, instead thinking it was the first mention of a new character. My apologies. Rockpocket 17:42, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Dick Grayson infobox image
You have recently commented on whether or not the image used in the infobox for Dick Grayson should be changed. An attempt is being made to see if a consensus has been reached. If you are still interested in this, please look in at the straw poll section of the articles talk page.
Thanks for your interest.
- J Greb 07:20, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
- True enough... though I've got a feeling Net would disagree with you assessment of me "keeping cool". Especially in light of the last comment I left with his part of the thread. While he generally is doing things to try an improve articles, his methods invite the DBAD essay, especially with his tendency to immediately fall back on a variant of the Kettle argument. And that's without looking at some of the comments that wind up on his talk page with regard to his use of a VP bot. — J Greb 17:07, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
-
- LOL...yet again with the ad hominem attacks J Greb? Now that fits your essay even better. Glad to see you are staying true to form. Netkinetic(t/c/@) 00:45, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
Given that this was a discussion about the people AND the issue at large, I don't see how it's an attack. We were discussing you and your image reverts. Remember 'No Personal Attacks', eh, Net? You're as guilty as J Greb is, if anyone's guilty of anything, and I don't appreciate you dragging this over to my talk page. I was having a polite conversation with J Greb. -- Ipstenu (talk|contribs) 00:56, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
- Well then you and I disagree...commenting on another editor in a disparaging manner...how exactly is it not an attack. If you did not appreciate my "dragging" "this" onto your talk page, then I suggest that you do not entertain the intial dialogue to begin with. If you wish to allow just attacks, then please show the courtesy to have an editor defend himself/herself. Because, quite frankly, the comments you allowed on it were, in fact, NOT polite. Thank you. Netkinetic(t/c/@) 22:26, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
It wasn't disparaging comments. It was a POV reflection of a situation between two editors. That's all. In fact, you were spoken of as a good editor, though sometimes we disagreed with your methods. Which was not intended as disparagement, but a statement of perceived fact. People are entitled to opinions. That you followed J Greb over here makes me Spock the Brow some. You really should take a break from him and move on. You're starting to look like you're obsessing. -- Ipstenu (talk|contribs) 01:40, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
- Ipstenu, I simply would ask for the courtesy of not being referred to is such a manner. Of course it is your talk page and both you and J_Greb are allowed to say whatever you'd like on such forums. However, philosophically I disagree with your point of view relating to "consensus" when there isn't majority support. I do agree when there is an overwhelming shift towards one side of a course of action. However I am all for opening lines of discussion, albeit with a bit more courtesy than is presently being displayed. Regards.Netkinetic(t/c/@) 05:34, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
That's fair, insofar as it goes. However there has to a method by which editors can talk about other editors, to attempt to resolve issues without having to confront them head-on. Which ... is where J Greb and I were going with this. NPA intended, and I'm sorry if you felt that disagreeing with your methods was an attack. Again. They weren't meant that way. As for my views on 'consensus' you'll note I changed my POV on this :) I'm perfectly willing to accept change, when presented reasonably. I don't mind that you were being bold, but IMO once someone reverts and says 'Hey. wait, let's talk first' then you should be respectful and stop to talk before just saying 'Nope, sorry, I'm being Bold!' and changing it back. And that's where my issue with you remains. That's it. You have a problem with J Greb? Go to his talk page. Not mine. Thank you. -- Ipstenu (talk|contribs) 13:43, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
