Inverclyde National Sports Training Centre

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

National Centre Inverclyde, formerly Inverclyde National Sports Training Centre is an elite athlete sports facility in Largs, North Ayrshire, Scotland.

Formerly Inverclyde House, it was gifted to the nation by the late Lord Inverclyde in 1936 and opened as a sports facility soon after.

Now maintained by sportscotland, it comprises grass pitches, a floodlit all-weather surface, cardio-vascular and weights rooms, and lecture rooms, and is designed to cater for 22 different sports. Although its principal function is to cater for elite athletes and teams, it does offer training facilities for the general public.
