"Only the former is correct." I THINK the author meant that only the LATTER (the second one) is correct. While I agree with this statement, it's not clear why it is included in the piece. It almost feels like a dig in a dispute someone has with their boss or co-worker. Brainhell 05:23, 19 February 2006 (UTC)

- It's not a dispute, it's here because I found all the time articles and papers talking about IDS as 'Intruder detection systems', and I want to make the difference clear. As this concept is rather new, talking about 'intruders' in place of 'intrusions' it's a common misconception. (eldraco 13:42, 27 December 2006 (UTC))
