International Peace Institute is a peace building organization founded by Nigerian peace crusader Chika Sylva-Olejeme, the institute began, as the MPM movement in 1990 at the University of Ibadan, the organization changed to its present name in 1994 in Lagos, Nigeria

The Institute engages in independent projects usally based on international cooperation and children

The Institute's most popular initiative is perhaps the International Creed for Peace, which is claimed by its supporters to the broadest minded creed ever written.

The Institute engages in Informal Diplomacy around the world.


  • Ok now there are some ref's on this page, I didn't get a chance to check thoroughly. HOWERVER, This page still sounds like an advertisement for a relatively unknown, albeit innocuous, organization. Especially:
"The Institute's most popular initiatives are the International Creed for Peace,the Peace Conservation System and the Universal Peace Protocol, the International Creed for Peace is claimed in some quarters to be the broadest minded creed ever written, the creed is accepted to protect the beliefs and nobeliefs of members of the human family.The International Peace Institute operates by Informal Diplomacy in its work with Governments and Inter Governmental organisations."
This definitely sounds POV and a lot like an ad. According to polocies, not every organization needs a page, So I am still voting for deletion.Dudeman1st 05:41, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
