However, the general public in the plays does not believe in alien life; since this was proven to exist in The Christmas Invasion, the plays must take place before then

[edit] ICIS dating section

I've removed the "ICIS dating" section, because putting together those sorts of timelines is really original research. We can get away with UNIT dating controversy because so much has been said about it in reliable third-party sources like the Discontinuity Guide and Lance Parkin's AHistory. Unless ICIS dating has been discussed somewhere besides internet fora we probably shouldn't get into it. (Even the "Matrix Data Bank" in Doctor Who Magazine would suffice.)
