Interstate 564 (I-564) is an Interstate Highway in the U.S. state of Virginia. It provides a spur from Interstate 64 northwest to State Route 337 at Naval Station Norfolk, all within the city of Norfolk.
Constructed in the 1970s to expedite travel to the Naval Station and the adjacent Norfolk International Terminals, Interstate 564 follows the route of Admiral Taussig Boulevard, the original road to the Naval Station. At the west end, it feeds into the remaining segment of the original road, which is signed State Route 337.
In addition to its termini, I-564 also has two interchanges—one with International Terminal Boulevard (State Route 406, leading to the aforementioned marine terminals), and one to two auxiliary gates of the Naval Station. In addition, I-564 proceeds through a tunnel as it passes under runways belonging to Naval Station Norfolk.
When I-64 was augmented in the 1990s with reversible HOV lanes, I-564 was designated as the western terminus of the reversible lanes and one of the only direct exits from/entrances to the HOV lanes.
