Interstate 274 (abbreviated I-274) is a proposed interstate highway route that would provide a bypass around the western section of Winston-Salem, North Carolina as part of the Winston-Salem Northern Beltway project. I-274's parent interstate is I-74. I-74 is proposed to use the eastern section of the Beltway. The northern terminus of the proposed I-274 would be at the US Highway 52/Future I-74 interchange north of Winston-Salem. The southern terminus of the route is at Interstate 40 near Clemmons though plans have the Beltway extending further east to US Highway 158/Stratford Rd. Thus a further extension of the route is possible. The "274" number is not official having not been submitted to AASHTO; however, I-274 does appear on many NCDOT planning maps.

Work was to begin on the Western Section of the Beltway in 1999, but was stopped by a lawsuit. When the lawsuit was resolved NCDOT then announced work would start in 2006. However, in March 2005 NCDOT postponed construction until at least 2012 due to budget shortfalls. Money planned for the Western Section will instead be used to start construction on the Eastern Section (I-74) starting in 2011.
