Internet scavenger hunt

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In education Internet scavenger hunt is a learning experience in the form of a scavenger hunt often used as tool for teaching students how to search the Internet and access and use the resources and information available on the Internet.

Internet scavenger hunt is usually a fact-finding exercise written by teachers where students are supposed to answer a list of questions or solve problems and practice information seeking skills. It can be complex and require students to use search tools and strategies to locate and review sites. Internet scavenger hunt is different from a webquest since the emphasis is on facts and finding information while webquest is inquiry-oriented activity that demands that students go beyond fact-finding.
