The international commission for alpine emergency measures (IKAR) is located in in Switzerland and is a working group of the national mountain rescue organizations. President is at present a Swiss national, Toni Grab.
The IKAR is divided into the four commissions:
- Soil rescue
- Flight rescue
- Avalanches
- Alpine medicine
