International taxation

International taxation is a subject of study that deals with international tax treaties and international aspects of domestic tax laws. Multi-national corporations usually employ international tax specialists to decrease their worldwide tax liabilities. International taxation is a specialty among both lawyers and accountants. Several universities offer degree programs in international taxation, including the University of Florida Levin College of Law, European Tax College, a collaboration between the Catholic University of Leuven and the Universiteit van Tilburg, the University of Sydney, Universiteit Maastricht, New York University, the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration and the International Tax Center, University of Leiden, Netherlands.

Usually a sub-branch of international taxation, international comparative taxes studies try to analyse the structural and analytical difference between several tax systems. Consequently, technical issues are of minor importance.
