International Women's Writing Guild
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The International Women's Writing Guild was founded in 1976 by Hannelore Hahn as a non-profit network to promote and encourage women writers. Started as a small support group, today the Guild is also an official non-governmental organization (NGO) with consultative status at the United Nations Economic and Social Council and has members worldwide.
The Guild sponsors an annual week-long writing conference for women writers at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY, as well as a variety of regional events throughout the year. Regional Representatives volunteer time to organize round table discussions in their local areas and offer mentoring to other writers.
